Teams wrong number shown in Italy

Hello Teams Community,

Please i need your help on this issue.

Our Italian colleagues have an issue with Teams telephony.

Domestic calls (Italy to Italy) are showing to the recipient's phone a wrong number. But international calls from France are very okay (Italy to other countries).

We have checked the Teams voice configuration, everything is fine (calling policies, caller ID policies, etc...)

The issue happened around middle of February 2022, before this date we did not have this issue.

Our Microsoft Partner (Exakis Nelite) recommend to create an incident to Microsoft. They think there is a wrong configuration in the SBC.

I dont know if anyone has an idea about this.

Hi @IBN

If the information in the From and P-Asserted-Identity headers doesn't match, and if the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) prioritizes the P-Asserted-Identity header information over the From header information, then incorrect information is displayed.

To make sure that the correct caller ID is displayed to the call recipient, configure the SBC to either remove the P-Asserted-Identity header from the SIP options message or modify its contents.

We have no SBC, we are using Microsoft calling plan and Phone system.

The SBC are hosted and managed by Microsoft
