I have a SharePoint 2016 farm, I did CU installation. It is suggested to run configuration wizard (PSConfig) after CU installation in SP2013. But in SP2016,

Is it really mandatory.?

Can I skip running the configuration wizard after CU installation.?

If yes, What is the impact, if any.?
