RDG: HTML5 WebClient: Connect to a specific computer (desktop)

Hi,

Situation:
Win 2019 RD Gateway (https://remote.company.com/rdweb)
vmware VDI with 100+ desktops
Now users can connect from how using their own desktop using RDweb site and typing in their computername in 'connect to a computer'
Just installed the RDG html5 add on so users can use any browser to connect to the RD gateway

Question
With the HTML5 webclient we do not get the option to 'connect to a computer' as in the old rdweb site. Can we get that in HTML5 webclient? so instead of connecting to a broker, that we do not have, but get an input box to type in the users virtual desktop

or even be able to redirect a user to its own desktop based on his/her loginname (that would be awesome :) )

Hi,

I have done some researches and lab tests and found that HTML5 Web Client deployment will must need RD connection broker.

Set up the Remote Desktop web client for your users

Hi, vmware is not part of the problem, you could see this as 100 physical desktops running on prem at the company building. Due to corona, users work from home with a laptop and use the RDG to connect to their work computer in the office

now they use IE10 and the 'connect to a remote pc' tab in rdweb and works great is you have Internet explorer

I want to get the same functionality in the wbeclient (html5) on the RD gateway so users can use chrome or firefox and connect to thei office computer
