Hi everyone,

I am in process to setup MS Dyanmics CRM 2013 on Windows Server 2012 R2. I am following “Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Planning Guide” (Version 6.1.3) for setup planning.
I found some prerequisites those needs to be installed on server before MS Dynamics CRM 2013 server installation as mentioned in above document. Please take a look to below mentioned lines for quick reference:

The following components must be installed and running on the computer where Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Server will be installed:
• Services
• Indexing Service
To install this service, see the Windows Server documentation.
• IIS Admin
• World Wide Web Publishing
• Windows Data Access Components (MDAC) 6.0 (This is the default version of MDAC with Windows Server 2008.)
• Microsoft ASP.NET (Must be registered, but does not have to be running.)

However I have done so many installations for CRM 2013 but I never go through these points ever and luckily I never faced any issues related to these. It seems, these features are auto managed by MS Dynamics CRM 2013 server.
But this time, authorities wants to go with the procedure recommended by Microsoft, so I am following these documents.

Please help me to understand if these services are needed to install before MS Dynamics CRM 2013 installation or these features can be taken care by MS Dynamics CRM 2013 setup itself.

Also, can anyone please help me to understand what WDAC version and ASP.NET version needs to install and how we can check that. Or as I mentioned above it will be also taken care by CRM 2013 setup itself.

Please response early as possible.

Regards,
Jaspreet

You have posted in the general Windows Server forum, since your issue is more related to Dynamic CRM, we suggest you post over at the dedicated Dynamic CRM forum over here:
