Win 10 Mapped drive to SharePoint directory with @SSL in the path randomly disconnects with error

An end user with permissions to a SharePoint directory mapped a drive to something similar to below with @rithansodo in it:

\company.sharepoint.com@rithansodo \DavWWWRoot\sites\it\XYZABC\Shared Documents

He is on Windows 10 and the file stays mapped for about a day or so and then when he tries to reconnect back to it, he gets an error that he does not have permissions to access it.

In order to get his access restored, he has to navigate to the drive through Internet Explorer (going away soon) and once he accesses it through IE, he can then access the shared drive again. Any ideas about this? Is it something to do with the @rithansodo possibly resetting his connection? 180792-map-error.png

    Hi @AtlantaITGuy
I have reproduced this issue on my server after I clear the cache in my IE browser:

We need to restart the server and map network drive again, according to the error, first we need to add the web site to your trusted site and select the option to logon automatically in IE settings > Internet Options:

Finally, remember to uncheck the option in IE settings > Internet Options > General:

As a result, if you map network drive again, it will work normally:
