Hello,

We need to migrate physical file server running on ws 2012r2 to new virtual 2019 with the same luns there is no data migration

How to achieve this, the current file server contains 4 nodes and we will create the same 4 nodes in Hyper-V

Is it possible to attach the current luns to both cluster then shutdown the old servers

    Hi @Ahmed Essam

Yes, it is possible to attach the current LUNs to both clusters.

With support for Windows Server failover clusters, you can migrate existing clusters to new clusters. The new cluster must exist with a File Server resource installed in either File Server for General Use or Scale-out File Server mode, and migration from a legacy clustered file server to SOFS is supported.

To understand the process you can check the below articles to understand the process.
