Does VM require for Azure remote Apps?

Team,

We are working towards to setup a VDI infra in Azure and testing both Virtual desktop and remote apps.

Virtual desktop is clear for me.

For Remote apps, do we need still need a backend Virtual machine to host? or no need any VMs for remote apps?

Kindly help to get rid of this and share any article if possible.

Yes, you can publish remote apps to the session hosts within your hostpool, and they will need a Virtual Machine at the backend, because a session host is ideally a virtual machine that you add as a session host in your hostpool.
