Skype for Business 2019 Whiteboard and Surface Hub 2S compatible?

When we try to share the whiteboard application inside a Skype for Business call, the participating Surface Hub 2S displays an error message: "Cannot connect to the server for sharing at the moment".
This happens not only when you make a Skype call with the Surface Hub, but also when you make a Skype call with any Windows laptop other than the Surface Hub. Port 8057 is open on the affected network.
We found a blog-entry on the internet stating that the Whiteboard-App in Skype for Business is not compatible with Surface Hubs and instead we would have to use Microsoft Teams. Can someone confirm or deny this?

    Hi YanSch,

Welcome to our new Teams forum. This question we have discussed in the TechNet forum.

No official documents talking about whether whiteboard supports Surface Hub 2S with Skype for Business server 2019 or not now.

When you set up Whiteboard collaboration in Surface Hub, it is only supported in the Office 365 commercial environment and requires Office 365 with cloud-based Azure Active Directory (Azure AD). It may be the reason why you cannot use Whiteboard in Skype for Business 2019 with Surface Hub 2S.
