Prebuilt Invoice api doesnt recognize invoice date in one invoice and missing in another invoice? for example Danish Invoice date field recognize in invoice 3 and missing in invoice 2. invoice 3, date is identified, but invoice no not Idenfied.

@Anandkumar Michael It looks like the forms are not in English or Spanish. The only supported locales or languages for invoice model API are English(en-US) and Spanish(es). The performance of the API with any other language would be inconsistent as you have observed since the models aren't yet trained for other languages. If I already trained some Danish Invoices for Invoice Date, Invoice No, will Prebuilt Invoice api use that learning for any Danish invoices?

@Anandkumar Michael You cannot customize the pre-built models like invoice models for different languages. You can however create a new custom model which supports danish, but you would need to train the model with appropriate labels and then extract the required fields.

One our customers have around 800 suppliers around the world in English and other major languanges. ie, 800/900 unique invoices. We need Invoice header fields (Invoice No, Date, Due Date, Vendor, Currency, Total Amount, Bank, Bank Account No) and Invoice lines (Descripton, Qty, Price, Unit, Amount)

General document - It doesnt capture key fields like due date in some clear english invoices. Tables format not correct in only few cases.

Prebuilt invoice - few Danish invoices key fields recognized, but some not. in our case around 80-90% invoice header fields are found (out of 900 unique invoices).

Custom model: will be huge task in this case, as there are 900+ suppliers. Neural model might help but not much sample or detail example found. each one has some advangae and issues.

Even we can call 2 apis for each invoice like Prebuilt invoice and custom model for specific fields that are not identified in prebuilt invoice. or Prebuilt api + General document. But we want to get all required fields with best accuracy with multiple apis calls.

What is the microsoft suggestion in these type of sceanario or what is the best practice?

@Anandkumar Michael If the prebuilt API's do not extract all the information for supported languages it is recommended to use the custom model API's. I understand that building a custom API needs a lot of training but that would be the best approach if you want to build on model improvements by using composed models.
