My application cannot connect to a shared folder on an azure vm

Hi all, I am a complete newbie but learning fast.

My ERP application needs to connect to a folder that is shared out as archome$.
This folder has Everyone as the user and full permissions.

I opened ports 445 TCP and UDP in my Network Security Group as inbound and outbound and I can make a Windows Explorer Connection to the folder.

Yet my application says it cannot reach it.

Are there any other ports that I may have to open?

Is there a spot in the Azure Portal that I have to give further permissions to for that folder?

Your guidance is most appreciated.

From your issue description, it looks like you have successfully mounted an SMB share (Azure file share) to your Azure VM and you are able to connect to it successfully via Windows Explorer. However, your application says it cannot reach it. For this, to identify the blocker, you will have to check your application logs to understand where is the connection getting blocked.

Just checking in if you have any update? Could you specify which application you are using. Could you please share screenshots of the ERP application from the settings where you passed the fileshare path? Thanks.
