Teams Group Excel Document

Hi,

Is there anyway to create view only access to Excel documents in a teams group? Where there is no option for someone to edit the document?

    1 From an Excel perspective, you can add the modify password on Excel worksheets, then send it to Teams group.

    • When you save this workbook, please click the Tools option > Geneal Options.

    • Add the modify password to save this file.

    • If other users open this file and do not have this password, they can click "Read Only" to open it.

    2 From OneDrive perspective, you can upload this wrokbook to OneDrive cloud and create a shared link, then copy the link to Teams group.
    But you need to set other users have only view permissions on this shared file.

    Other users do not be allowed to edit this file.
