Authenticator app requesting authenticator app to sign on

Sounds exactly as the title reads. I try to sign into the authenticator app because I need to get into my azure portal to cancel services, but when it asks for authentication from the app, I then log into the authenticator app, which is also asking for authentication from the app. An absolutely ridiculous loop while I am being charged for services that I have been trying to cancel for a while. This is a work account.

Your admin can disable the Multifactor Authentication for your account by following these steps:

    1. Go to Azure Active Directory
    2. Navigate to Properties
    3. At the bottom you will see a link Manage Security Defaults. Click on that link
    4. It will show Enable Security Defaults on right hand side of the screen. Set it to No
    5. Don't forget to save it.
    6. Go to Users menu. It will show the list of All Users
    7. At the top heading, you can see a button Per User MFA
    8. Click on that button. It will open another tab showing the MFA setup for all users.
    9. You can select your name and disable MFA for your account.
    10. Save the changes after that.
    11. Now you can login without MFA
