Hi,

I have a question regarding the Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. I already have a P2 license for Defender for Cloud and a Microsoft E3 license. I need to take remediation and quarantine actions on some of my endpoints, so my question will have to be if there would be possible to use the licenses that I have right now to make the remediation and quarantine processes or do I need to buy another license?
Is there any possibility to integrate Microsoft Defender for Endpoint from my P2 Azure license or Microsoft E3?
I am really confused if these two services Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint are under the P2 umbrella license or this cannot be done from Microsoft Defender for Cloud and I should buy another license for that purpose.
Please let me know.
Thank you!

There is a stand-alone server license for Defender for Endpoint. Users (devices) are licensed using E3/E5.

I think the AAD-P2 is largely unrelated. This gets you more AAD features and AAD Identity protection. Possibly MDI as well.

Defender for cloud also has a fee of $15 per VM. This actually includes the MDE server license. So you get both for $15. Unfortunately, this does not happen automatically. If you find that you are paying for both, work with your Microsoft reps or open a support case to resolve.
