I created a new subscription on Azure Portal but it does not show up under the list of subscriptions. The subscription was definitely created as it is an option when I create a virtual machine. How do I get the new subscription to show under the list of subscriptions?

    Hi @JB Data Science ,

please take a look on the filter of the subscriptions.
The option Show only subscriptions selected in the global subscriptions filter should not be checked.

Try with "Switch Directory", at top right you can see your account name, once clicked you can see the Switch Directory option
Opens a new page, you can see a drop down named "Default Subscription Filter", confirm if newly created Subscription is checked there

None of the answers from Andreas, Manish or Carlos worked for me. I basically tried multiple things for about 40 minutes. I logged of to try it with a different user. After I logged in with the user which created the new subscription it all of a sudden appeared... My answer is: Have you tried to log out and in again?

    Hi @JB Data Science

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform, thanks for posting your query here.

You can create a Management Group and put all subscriptions there.

You will need to activate the "Elevate access" to do that.

    Hope this helps,

Here is what I did to show my subscription that was purchased from CSP reseller

    1. Access the office365 tenant for the same account
    2. Go identity from clicking shows all admin centers
    3. Select Under identity - overview (now in the Entra Amin Center)
    4. on the detail page/screen, select the property tab
    5. scroll down to Access Management for Azure resources
    6. turn on "yes" to allow the identity (user admin) account to manager azure resources in the tenant.

Once this is completed go back to azure portal, and the subscription should show up.

Please mark accepted if this works for you.
