Need my Facebook authenticator in my Authenticator APP account

Hello, Please I need someone to help me. I changed my phone and installed the authenticator app and tried to back up my accounts but it's missing my Facebook one.I can't log in Facebook because there's no code .You would help me enough if you help me to add my Facebook account. I can't sell my products due to this mistake. I'll appreciate it a lot.

Hi @Enrique Erda B , have you tried manually re-adding your facebook account?

On the Set up via Third Party Authenticator page, which includes the QR code, and a code written out for entry into your app. Keep this page open so you can see the code.

Open the Microsoft Authenticator app, select Add account from the Customize and control icon in the upper-right, select Other account (Google, Facebook, etc.), and then select OR ENTER CODE MANUALLY.

Enter an Account name (for example, Facebook) and type the Secret key from Step 1, and then select Finish.

On the Two-Factor Authenticator page on your computer, type the verification code provided in the app for your Facebook account, and then select Verify.

The Accounts screen of the app shows you your account name and a verification code. For additional security, the verification code changes every 30 seconds preventing someone from using a code multiple times.

@James Hamil has there been any updated resolution for this issue? I am experiencing the same and can't find anyone to support it because it is not "business" related since it's Facebook so I keep getting pushed to websites for help and the steps are fine, but it constantly loops looking for a code to be generated.

OK friends - I was able to get this resolved by a miracle!

Since I was completely logged out of Facebook on all devices, I had a friend/fellow marketer chat with FB support through ads manager account to get me 5 single-use codes. These codes were valid for 3 days and could only be used once. I used one to get logged into Facebook and another to remove the 2fa from the account. It took a few tries to get it all sorted out (because I was trying so many different things and my account was basically put on hold for security). After getting logged back in I was able to remove the Authenticator app and change by 2fa to sms code sent to my phone which is SO much easier.

I think this is a good reminder for all of us to double check this type of stuff. I know I learned a lot and will NOT be using this app again for any reason because it's too much of a hassle. Hope this helps others with this same issue in the future. You are not alone! :)

Im having the exact problem. My facebook is asking for the authenticator code (which i have never set up) but i cant set this up as i cant log into facebook. When i try to reset the password on facebook, it doesnt send me a security code. Im totatally stuck and cant log into facebook. any advice!?
