Azure ML Designer- Language Detection

Hello,

We have a clustering model in AzureML designer and we are using the "Preprocess Text" component to clean the messages.
But, the messages can be in different languages and in the dropdown of the Language in the "Preprocess Text" component there is only English and no other language. Is there a way to detect the language of a text in azureml designer?

@Valerie HAYECK Pre-process text component only supports English language. Currently, there is no ready to use module in azure ml designer to detect text from a dataset.
Azure cognitive services does offer some services that can auto detect language and translate text to a different language. Are you looking to translate data of a particular dataset?

Thank you for your reply. So, can you tell me how to do it if i want to translate a french or spanish text to english in cognitive services?

Sure @Valerie HAYECK Sure, You need to first create a cognitive service translator resource and then use its keys to call the translate API by providing the to and from language codes as parameters in the request. The call to the API is charged based on no. of characters translated and if you are planning to use the service sparingly then the free tier should be more than enough.

A great way to get started is to follow this MS learn course on translator text or run the steps through this quickstart.
