What are the pros and cons of connecting my Microsoft account with my Samsung account?

I just saw a notification on my Samsung Galaxy phone, suggesting that I connect my Microsoft account to my Samsung account. The benefit they gave was making it easier (I presume faster) to log into other Microsoft services from my phone.

I can see that, but on the other hand I don't like to expose every service I'm on to every other service I'm on, simply because I can.

So, I'd like to ask what's the advantages and disadvantages of connecting my Microsoft account with my Samsung account?
