We're trying to do a hybrid to migrate 200 mailbox exchange 2013 user to Office 365 by using Office 365 Hybrid Wizard. I'm running it on one of the CAS server Exchange 2013 with Windows 2012 OS
But when gathering Configuration Information part, I receive an error like this:

Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message:
Connecting to remote server outlook.office365.com failed with the
following error message : The SSL connection cannot be established.
Verify that the service on the remote host is properly configured to
listen for HTTPS requests. Consult the logs and documentation for the
WS-Management service running on the destination, most commonly
IIS or WinRM. If the destination is the WinRM service, run the following
command on the destination to analyze and configure the WinRM
service: "winrm quickconfig -transport.https". For more information, see
the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.

Any idea how to fix this?
Thx in advance

    Hi,

It looks like TLS version issue. Can you check if TLS 1.2 is enabled on the cas server running the hybrid.

    Registry location:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols

    Hi,

I already have a Hybrid Exchange setup, utilising Exchange 2016 on premise and Exchange Online. However, on trying to run the Office 365 Hybrid Configuration tool in the last few days, I'm getting the same error as the original poster.

I've checked the linked offered by @Ashok M and configured my Exchange server where the Hybrid Configuration tool is run, for TLS1.2 only - I've disabled TLS1.0 and 1.1. I also ensured that my server is fully up to date with the latest Microsoft patches. The server is running Windows Server 2012.

My Google searches don't seem to bring back any recent results other than this post, so I'm hoping someone is able to offer some advice!

    Thanks,
    Rich
