Hi Team,

Hope you are doing good.

I am an owner of a Team site in sharepoint online, however when i search for the site using Site url or Name of the site, it does not find matching results.

I am the owner of this sharepoint site, and this site was created over 6 months ago.

I can navigate to this sharepoint site from Teams team "open in sharepoint" option.

Under site settings, option "allow this site to appear in search results" is set to yes.

Moreover, i am member of other sharepoint sites as well, and i can successfully use the Sharepoint online start page search option to find these sites, these sites also shows up in recent list as well.

Please let me know what more i can look for to troubleshoot the problem?

Thanks,
Harshit Malhotra

    @MasterBlaster

    Per my test, I can search a site collection successfully in the start page through site name but not through URL.

    Please check whether you have modified the site name and site URL before.

    Hello there,

    Can you add " /_layouts/15/srchvis.aspx " at the end of the site URL and check the option "Allow this site to appear in search results?”

    • You can also go the site settings and search for "Search and offline availability"
