Server Login

I am having some issues with a server 2019 hosting exchange server 2019. The issue is logging into the 2019 server and should have nothing to do with the exchanges themselves since we can still manage them using ECP, and they seem to be working fine.

I am hoping someone here can help. Last Friday, we did our weekly updates on the exchange servers. Once completed, the servers rebooted, and now we cannot log onto them. We have tried all kinds of troubleshooting, and we cannot explain why this has happened. However, when we select alt+ctrl+del and put in our username and password, it goes back to the lock screen once we hit enter. It will not let us log into the systems at all. We have backed all updates and checked to ensure group policies would do this. We have found nothing.

Has anyone seen this before or maybe know how to fix this issue. I can find nothing online to help. Thanks

What it is doing is when we RDP to the server it comes up to the login screen

Have you rebooted? Also try a console session either from the physical keyboard, or if a virtual machine from the hypervisor console.

Hi, try with a local admin user to log. You might have a profile's problem.

If none are created, please use computer management tool from another computer, connect ot the remote server, and create the local admin account.

If that work, erase your normal's account profile and retry to log.

If that cause the same problem login with a domain account check your GPO.

Thanks for the reply Yagmoth555. So I have tried the steps as follows:

    1. Tried to log on with local admin. does not work.
    2. Added new admin's using MMC to server. Still not able to log on locally.
    3. Removed all GPO's from the server, still unable to log on.

What it is doing is when we RDP to the server it comes up to the login screen, we place in user names and passwords. Select ok it goes to the warning screen once we select ok there it just shuts the RDP screen. We have looked through the log files and it shows us logging in with no issues, however, we are not logged into it.

Yes, I have tried thoroughly hypervisor. This is not a local system. We have also rebooted. I am starting to think this could be a DAG issue.
