A shared mailbox was converted to a regular mailbox in exchange 2016 hybrid environment.
Though the shared mailbox is converted to regular mailbox but still it shows under shared tab in exchange admin center.
How would we manage the properties of the this mailbox?
https://portal.office.com/adminportal : Its still shows as shared mailbox.
https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/ : This shows that its regular mailbox.
https://outlook.office365.com/ecp/ : It shows that its a shared mailbox.
How would be manage and reflect this converted mailbox under correct place?
Run this in Exchange Online powershell:
set-mailbox <shared> -Type regular
Does this shared mailbox created on Exchange on-premises, then migrated to Exchange online and change mailbox type from Exchange online?
How do you convert this shared mailbox? I try to convert it from the old Exchange online admin center, it could sync to all other admin centers. But this mailbox still show as shared mailbox on Exchange on-premises admin center.
So, I would suggest you migrate it back to Exchange on-premises, then change mailbox type on Exchange on-premises. After that, migrate it back to Exchange online.
