Message Compiler cannot be compiled Visual C++ 6.0 on Windows 10

I'm trying to build a solution in Visual C++ 6.0 on a 64-bit Win10 environment and I have a dependency that is a .mc file and it shows this error:
'mc' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
I tried installing Windows SDK both 8.1 and 10 but still I can't compile it. I used to build this solution on a 32-bit Win7 environment. Please do take note that I'm not quite familiar of this one as I'm still a newbie.
Also if you can explain to me in detail of everything that would also be helpful

David Lowndes 4,726 Reputation points2022-03-16T14:43:01.49+00:00 mc.exe should exist under your Program Files x86 folder structure - under the SDKs you've installed.
VS needs to know where to find it - the path should be listed under the executable directories in your project's settings: Configuration Properties, VC++ Directories.
If you've not rebooted after installing the SDKs, give that a try. -

2022-03-16T15:16:58.5+00:00 Actually there is MC.exe inside this folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\VC98\Bin and the one in Windows Kit however I am not sure how I can point or set this. I'll try to find the executable directories you mentioned.

There was a copy of the message compiler (mc.exe) in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VC98\BIN and a newer version in an SDK folder at C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDK\bin
The modern SDK's will not integrate with VC++6.
