I migrate my standalone Primary Site from a server (Windows 2012 R2) to a new one (Win 2019). I used backup and restore process. Install SCCM in the new server using CD.Latest folder, prepare everything you the online docs instructions.

After migration I ran a Site Reset, and a have my environment up and ruining right now.

But I have a doubt: What about installed SCCM Clients? Need I reinstall all of then? Or update?

No, nothing additional is necessary here as the backup and restore is completely transparent to the clients -- that's point of using it whether it's for a DR scenario or for replacing hardware.

    Hi, @Patrick Mor

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

When you migrate clients between hierarchies that are of the same product version, the client software does not change or upgrade. Instead, the client reassigns from the source hierarchy to a site in the destination hierarchy.

To upgrade or reassign clients from a source site to a destination site, you can use any client deployment method that is supported for deploying clients in the destination hierarchy. Typical client deployment methods include client push installation, software distribution, Group Policy, and software update-based client installation.
