"If the nodes on the Primary site failed accidentally, VM unable to be online on the Primary site, then the VMs will try to live migrate to DR site."

If the primary site fails, it is impossible to live migrate to the DR site. Live migration requires that both ends of the migration be active.

"when I make shutdown to the vm at the hyper v cluster the VM at the DR site RUN automatic"

How are things configured at both sites? If you manually shut down a VM on the primary site, you can write a script to automatically start the backup VM at the DR site. Scripting will work for either a live migration or using Hyper-V Replica. Understanding your configuration will help us direct you to the best method.

    Hi,

Do you configure the stretch cluster on the primary site and the DR site?

In stretch cluster, if we shut down the VM manually on the primary site, the VM will not start on the DR site automatically, since shut down VM is not a failover condition.

If the nodes on the Primary site failed accidentally, VM unable to be online on the Primary site, then the VMs will try to live migrate to DR site.

If there's anything unclear, please feel free to let me know.

If the reply could be of help, please help to accept it as an answer, thanks for your cooperation!
    Thanks for your time!

    Hey,

We would need to know your configuration or what you are planning to do. You should look at DR solutions like Hyper-V replica. As mentioned, you can automate failover with some scripting.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/archive/blogs/keithmayer/automated-disaster-recovery-testing-and-failover-with-hyper-v-replica-and-powershell-3-0-for-free

As an alternative, you can build a stretch cluster. StarWind can play as a backend storage for the cluster. Check the following guide:
