Using SQL to get data from Cosmos

Newbie question, we've recently started using cosmos and I have been asked to pull data from cosmos to merge with data pulled from a SQL database, when trying to establish the linked server, it results in a tabular view of the data, based on sample data... which is not representative of the full data available... I have less columns in the tabular view of the data than exists in some documents. How do I resolve this?

If my understanding is correct, you are trying to merge data from cosmos dB with data in Azure SQL database. You have tried to create a linked server, but it resulted to some missing data. Please correct me if my understanding is not correct.
