Failed to finalize guest processing

Good Day

I have a hyper V VM which i am taking its backups through veeam backup and replication the keep failing and veeam has pointed to the below

Error message below;
Failed to finalize guest processing. Error: Failed to take in-guest VSS snapshot COM error: Code: 0x80042308
Retrying snapshot creation attempt (Failed to process guest: )
Task has been rescheduled
Queued for processing at 3/17/2022 11:08:14 PM
Unable to allocate processing resources. Error: Failed to process guest:

Veeam Recommendation

From what I could see in the logs, the error in question was always thrown when processing the VM . Please try updating the Hyper-V integration components for VM.

Also, on the guest OS of VM, check the Volume Shadow Copy (VSS) service, make sure that it can be started and that the startup type is set to "Manual".

Please note according to the above recommendations from Veeam the VSS service is running and startup is set to manual.

Also on integration components i have the components enabled.

Please advise my backups have been failing for some time with no solution .

    Hi,

    As per my research, it seems a known issue and there was a windows update that can fix it.

    Please kindly check if it helps.
