Windows Virtual Desktop web client on Ubuntu Linux with Firefox - Ctrl and Shift not working

The Ctrl and Shift keys are not working. For example, if I press Ctrl-v it just types "v". If I hold Shift and press the right arrow a few times, it just moves the cursor to the right without selecting any text. Interestingly if I press Ctrl-Alt-end (a proxy for Ctrl-Alt-del) it deletes the character to the right of the cursor - i.e. it appears to be sending only the del through to the remote machine.

It used to work, but now it doesn't. When I load it asks me to "Allow the remote computer to access the following resources on my computer: Clipboard Printer" and I tick both and click Allow.

I am using the web client for Windows Virtual Desktop in Firefox 98.0.1 on Ubuntu 20.04. I just tried on Chromium and Ctrl and Shift are working normally.

    Hello @Rowlett, Peter ,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A platform. Happy to answer your question. Below listed are the supported browsers and operating systems to connect to AVD web client

As you mentioned it worked earlier with the same firefox browser, can you try to upgrade the Firefox browser to latest version or reinstall it? This doesn't look like an issue from the web client side as it works on other browsers.

@Rowlett, Peter I had the same issue.

My fix was to set 'privacy.resistFingerprinting' to 'false' in 'about:config'. Firefox security an privacy measures are better than most, but they can break stuff... Cheers!
