Failover Cluster Live Migration Fails on Specific VM - Event ID: 1155

We are getting a cluster event error of event ID: 1155 when attempting a live migration of one of our VMs from one node to another one. It seems to be automatically canceled when we start a live migration. The progress of the live migration will get to 48% and then the live migration ends. Quick migration works on this VM but we are unable to live migrate between nodes.

Running Windows Server 2016 on the nodes and Windows Server 2016 Datacenter on the VM in question. All nodes are running the exact same hardware with the same processors. Hyper-V versions are the same across all nodes. Hyper-V Version: 10.0.14393.0

We have no issues migrating any of our other VMs, only this one VM. I've tried to find information on this issue without any results.

How can we troubleshoot and fix this error?

    Hi @Andrew N

Hopefully, we can resolve this issue.

Please check if you have assigned the same names for vSwitches on both nodes.
Please also check if VM configuration file is located on CSV.

Here's a guide on how to migrate server nodes:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/virtualization/hyper-v/manage/live-migration-overview

I do hope this answers your question.

    Thanks.
