Microsoft purchase after subscription

My free school subscription will be expiring soon so I purchased microsoft office through my school. What will happen to my documents and powerpoints that are saved onto my computer that were created with the subscription? It looks like I won't have access to them once my free subscription is disabled. Do I then delete the subscription apps off of my computer to save room for the purchased version?

Documents and programs are two different types of files. Documents remain on your computer whether the programs that create them are installed or not. When your subscription expires, the existing Office programs will offer read-only access to your documents. When you install the purchased version of Office, then you will be able to edit and save your documents again.
