Windows Update question and doubt

Good afternoon, how are you?

I'm starting with the issue of updates on Windows Servers, although I have read documentation, articles etc.. There are some things that are not very clear to me.

I have several windows 2016 servers that have installed as last cumulative update:

"2021-06 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2016 for x64-based Systems (KB5003638).

I need to update them to the current date:

"2022-03 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2016 for x64-based Systems (KB5011495)"

My question is as follows:

While I understand that cumulative updates contain all previous updates, does this mean that they contain only the updates of the respective month or also all of the previous months?

I have doubts about having to install:

A) - 2021-07 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2016 for x64-based Systems....

 - 2021-08 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2016 for x64-based Systems...

 - 2021-09 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2016 for x64-based Systems...
  • .............

B) Or by just installing "2022-03 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2016 for x64-based Systems (KB5011495)"... (is it possible?)

Regarding the Servicing stack updates, in the case that option "B" is feasible, should I install the previous Servicing stack updates that are not installed or just the last one published by microsoft is enough?

Thank you very much!!

All. To bring it current you can install the latest SSU

followed by the latest cumulative update.

Yes, also included are .Net updates
Customers that rely on Windows Update and Windows Server Update Services will automatically receive the .NET Framework version-specific updates.
