My old surface pro failed, so I've put the M.2 SSD from this in to USB enclosure which works well, as I can access all the files now.
But can I also boot the USB using Hyper-V ?
I've tried converting this to VHDX file and using Hyper-V to boot from that, but it complains about a username and password before even booting up. I cant find anything in the settings as to give the username/password,
I've also tried attached the USB as a virtual disk on my PC, and pointing Hyper-V at this, but it complains about not being able to create a checkpoint before booting up.
How do I get this to boot up?
thanks, Seb
