Spam Mails from Accounts from MS Teams

Hi Sir/Ma'am,

Good Day.

We are receiving this kind of spam mails from our account from MS teams (See the image below). I would like to know how can we avoid receiving kind of emails and what we will do if we receive these kind of emails.

Considering that it's a public forum, I'll edit the image you shared above by removing the email addresses involved for privacy concerns.

Then when it comes to the issue you described, I am a little confused about what you mean by "accounts from MS teams". Do you mean these spam mails look like sent from your accounts used to login to the Microsoft Teams client? Are these accounts different from your mailbox accounts?
Can these spam mails arrive in your Inbox or they put in the Junk mails folder?

Good day and thank you for editing the image.

The image shows that our System receive that email coming from the email address shown at the bottom part of the given image. The email address is unknown on our side.

With regards to the "accounts from MS Teams", it is regarding on one of the user received the spam mail from the email address of a Team from our MS team which is the "MIS Project". Yes, it is different from our mailbox accounts. Also, the spam mails arrive in our Inbox.

I would like to ask how and why we are receiving that kind of mail from random email address, especially from one our email address.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Office 365 notification message spoofing. Unfortunately, anyone can forge these messages. It is how you set up your own e-mail domain on how strict messages are checked when received/processed, and when certain thresholds are exceeded might get junked, quarantined or dropped. Have you checked what route the message took by inspecting its headers (properties when opening the message) or by leveraging the Exchange Online message trace function at https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/messagetrace ?

Since the suspicious emails have been deleted already, I can't check what's the route of the message, but I will take note of your advice once we receive again that kind of emails.
