Project / Task % Complete Derived from Actuals and EAC?

Does Microsoft Project have an option (especially one that can be defaulted to) to calculate % complete based on actuals divided by EAC for a given task (which could then also be rolled up to higher levels of indenture) instead of having % complete an entered field?

PS - this forum forced me to include at least one tag but nothing available comes close to the area of inquiry that I have ....
