Office Add-in does not work - SharePoint 2016 + Office Online Server

Custom Office Excel add-in does not work for environment:

  • AD Domain Controller
  • SharePoint 2016
  • Office Online Server

SP and OOS run on http and association works - I can open Office docs loaded to SP lists in the browser.

I have tested add-in itself in different environment - O365 + SP Online - and it works there. I can open add-in (manifest uploaded to AppCatalog, to Apps for Office list) in browser. I can also debug both: browser and desktop. Add-in runs on local server on https.

It does not work on my environment with SP on-prem and OOS. However, I saw Excel add-in working on another environment also with SP16 on-prem and OOS - add-in was shown in Internet Explorer.
