You'll need a Server 2012 R2 product key in order to activate. The 2008 product key cannot be used for this.

Hi
I have done an in place upgrade of a Windows Server 2008 R2 standard to Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard. Now it is asking to activate. Do i need to purchase license key or can it be activated with 2008 R2 activation.
