Hi,

our DC windows server 2016 have always updated by connecting to our wsus. In the last few days the DCs have not been able to register with the WSUS. Making an analysis we noticed that the servers try to download updates not from the wsus but from the microsoft site. In the server policies we have always configured the connection to the wsus and also in the registry keys the pointing is towards the wsus.

The error during the update is : "There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x80244017)"

Do you have a suggestions?

    @Daniele Tammetta
    Thanks for your posting on Q&A.

    There are only the DC windows Server 2016 servers encountered this issue right now. There are no the other devices encountered this issue. Am I right?

    Please try to reset Windows Update components on the affected server and check whether the issue will be resolved or not.

    Please inform me if there are any updates of the case.

    Best regards,
    Rita

    Sounds like Dual Scan

    Use this page to troubleshoot further (after disabling dual scan by setting the GPO policies to Not Configured)
