App Service Domain - domain registration failure on a new account (no payment history)

Hello
I have created a new pay as you go account.. I don't have any payment history and as of now have services within the free tier.

I am trying to purchase a domain from App Services domain. I receive the below error. I have a valid payment credit card associated in my account.

Is this because I have not incurred/made any payments on this account? Is there any other way to mitigate this? I spun up few VMs (to incurr beyond my zero dollars/free tier) but not sure if I have to wait till the payment cycle. It would be a shame if I have to wait till then and can only purchase (pay as you go is defeated here)?

    Hi @Shiva Ramani ,

Since you're still hitting this issue, the best course of action is to create a support request. Use Billing as the issue type, Assistance with bill or usage as the problem type and Help me understand my bill as the sub type. If you run into any issues, comment down below.

Although, this is odd but I will propose this solution if things are not working out for you

Buy domain from external providers like bluehost or godaddy, and associate with your app service, much easier flow
