How to create an Android lock screen widget with .NET MAUI?

Can somebody tell me how I can create a lock screen widget for Android with .NET MAUI? I cannot find any information on the web at all about how to create any kind of widgets with MAUI or Xamarin Forms. I'm not sure if a lock screen widget is a different type, I've never done that before. Is it even possible with .NET or will I have to look for other tools?

2022-03-28T15:25:37.55+00:00 I know it's in preview. There isn't necessarily a problem with it that I'd consider worth writing an issue. I just have a question about it. Are you officially inviting me to create an issue in the repo or was that just a guess?

2022-03-28T22:01:10.837+00:00 I've read a little further and it looks like lock screen widgets no longer exist since Android 5.0. Too bad. So the Samsung music player app will remain the only lock screen widget on my phone. They probably hacked it directly into the OS core. That means, no self-made TV or smart home remote control for quick access to basic settings. Maybe a smartphone is just the wrong platform for that and I need an IR/RF remote control or simply build my own device. I'm not expecting any answers here but I'll still be happy about any surprise.

2022-04-08T16:28:53.097+00:00 Update: This information seems to be wrong. I've now found that the BBC Sounds app also shows on the lock screen while playing. And that certainly isn't tied to Samsung or Google.
