Hello,
My client has two offices in different locations. one of them has a bad internet connection.
He wants one AD in both locations, but different Windows Server Essential 2019 or 2022 as DC
Does anyone know if there will be any problems with the license or functionalities?
I would like to point out that in both locations it has a maximum of 15 users and it will not increase it for the time being.

Regards

    Sounds like you'll need Windows Server Standard for this if they both are to be the same domain. Essentials will always want to be a root domain controller and you can only have one essentials domain controller.

    @Anonymous thank's for express answer

    Sorry, maybe these are stupid questions ...

    So I understand that it is not so much a matter of some problems with the license or functionalities, but that it will not be possible to do at all, because after adding second WS Ess. to AD I will not be able to make it a full-fledged DC? Right?

    Will I then be able to add it to my domain (no DC) and install DFS or other services?

    You can cancel the Configure Windows Server Essentials then from Server Manager you can join an existing domain.
