VSS subsystem failing causing backups to fail

Windows 2012 r2 backups failing leaving event viewer id 7001.
vssadmin.exe Create Shadow /AutoRetry=15 /For=\?\Volume{47735293-bb62-4e42-a35d-649f5d762751} gives error
Another shadow-copy creation is in progress so the current shadow copy cannot be created.
I right clicked on the drive in File Explorer and deleted the scheduled backups.
Also went into scheduled tasks in Windows and disabled the shadow copies...
Any suggestions would be appreciated
