Error: A connection cannot be made to redirector.Ensure that SQL Browser service is running

Question

Hi All,
When i open SSAS DB using visual studio and try to process the dimension or cube i get the error message "A connection cannot be made to redirector.Ensure that SQL Browser service is running".
But when I open the project solution I can process w/o errors, also I can process using SSMS W/O any issues. I have followed different links and checked everything such as SQL Browser is running and logged on as Local system, fire wall restrictions. I have spent a whole week and not able to come to a solution. Please help.

Hi @Amy Jandreau ,

In this scenario, I would suggest to use SQL Server Profile to get more messages.

Connect to your SSAS, start the capture, reproduce this issue, and see if you can find any more detailed information from the error trace to resolve this.
