Setting a rule in one drive to automatically clean a specific file at a set time for any given interval

Hello, I was wondering if it would be possible to set up some kind of rule in onedrive (similar to the rule making function for office365) to automatically delete files within a specified folder for any given time point as determined by the user. This is to ensure that we are not overcrowding the user's onedrive account. Moreover, would it be possible to also set up a rule that ensures that files within a specified folder would also be automatically downloaded to a local directory at any given time point, also determined by the user? Thank you for considering this question!

    Hi @Chan, Dennis

    Welcome to Q&A forum ~
Curently, I do not foind the relevant admin settings to achieve your requirements.

Generally, for automated operations, we can try PowerShell commands, or Power Automate, but as the tag "office-onedrive-itpro" focuses more on technical questions about OneDrive client, including deployment, installation, and troubleshooting like file synchronization.

To help you better, I would like to suggest you post new threads on following forums. Thanks for your understanding.
