teams number is displaying incorrectly

Please I need your help on this issue.

We have a user who has been assigned a teams number however when they call an internal number it shows incorrectly but when they call an external number it shows correctly.

We have a user who has been assigned a teams number however when they call an internal number it shows incorrectly but when they call an external number it shows correctly.

Do you mean the internal user sees an incorrect phone number when receiving the call?
Is this only affecting the particular user currently?
Was the incorrect number a previously used number of the user?

Please double confirm the phone number assigned for the user is correct via Teams admin center > Users > Manage Users. And for the internal users who see the incorrect number, it's suggested to check in Teams web client as well and see if the issue persists there.

In case the issue is still there, I'd suggest removing the phone number and then reassign it to the user, wait for some time and check the result. See Assign, change, or remove a phone number for a user.
