Is it possible to connect to wsl through ssh without password and using privatekey authentication?

Installed wsl in my windows pc and enabled ssh in wsl(localhost). Able to connect and login to wsl(localhost) through putty/automation using ssh with password. Trying to login to wsl through ssh with private key authentication instead of password. Is it possible? if yes could you please share the steps how to do it?
