For me, subscribing to this RSS feed is the primary source of news related to new functionalities on all Azure products, not only Azure SQL. features on public preview and on GA.

SQL Server Blog has its own RSS Feed here.

You can also subscribe to Azure Updates here.

    Hi Vijay < @Vijay Kumar > ,

This is very good topic for discussion as I don't think there is one way which we all use. Alberto gave some great resource you can follow. I would like to add to these...

    (1) There many companies and individual which participate in close program groups and are testing and working with the features/products before they released to the public (before public preview). In most cases they will post or present these features once it is released in a much better way then the official announcement since they already prepared these materials before and jut waiting for the chance to publish it.

In fact, there are even private blogs and unofficial public groups that owned or led by Microsoft employees from the team that develop the products.

It is highly recommended to follow such blogs, user group, and other virtual communities.

    (2) Why read from others when you can be the one who participate in such private previews?!?

Try to follow the discussion as mentioned above. From time to time Microsoft announce about a new private preview. Once get into the close communities that more and more opened to you.

This is the real way to follow news and be the first that test and learn about these.

Did you ever tried to search Google for: sql server 2022 private preview

This is the first think that you should have done at the second that you thought about your question :-)

You will be amazing what you can find in the public released information starting many many months ago!

One of the first links you can find is the official Microsoft answer to your question (is we focus on SQL Server) which is the SQL Server 2022 site. Yes, it is not magic and if you go to the site then you even noticed at the bottom of the page an official invitation from Microsoft to join the private preview

It is very late now, and in any case no one can be sure that he will be accepted, but you should keep trying since program like this are the door for a new world. Once you are in, there is a great chance that you will be invited to other groups and so on... so try it. Get the information before it is on the public RSS or Microsoft announcement.

Did not get to this program? Do your part! participate in given feedback on products and services and be active in helping the Microsot team. Be so active that they will remember your name for next time :-)

And keep try to join the next one. Follow discussion on blogs, user group, and other virtual/physical communities.
