Provide Access to shared folder

Hi All

i am new to file server. i have a share lets say \server01\Folder1\Folder2\Folder3.
I need to provide full access to a user for the Folder3. i have provided Full Access to Folder3 for the user. and for the Folder2 and Folder1 do i need to provide the user List Folder Contents and Read Access. If i dont provide access to Folder1 and Folder2 will the user be able to access Folder3.

    Hi @Glenn Maxwell

    By default the Bypass Traverse Checking user right is assigned to everyone. With this right granted you don't need to specifically assign permissions to the folder1 or folder2, to allow the users to get to folder3. However, the user will not be able to browser to the folder, if they don't have list\read rights to these folders, they will need to be type the complete path in i.e. \server1\folder1\folder2\folder3.
