We have a customized file opening solution that uses FileHandler integration for opening files from onedrive and sharepoints document library. Recently we have observed that FileHandler was visible in Teams Application's(Web view and Desktop app) "Files" tab also. This behaviour is inconsistent as it is only visible for some users in our tenants.

This behaviour only observed on Microsoft Teams Version 1.5.00.5967 (64-bit).

Expected or Desired Behavior
According to documentation here of FileHandler, it should only be visible on sharepoint and onedrive. Is this an upcoming feature for Teams as well?

Observed Behavior
File handler is visible on Teams Files tab for some users in our tenant.

    Hi @Mandar Kanade

    Welcome to Q&A forum

The FileHandler is related to OneDrive development, and the tag "office-onedrive-client-itpro" focuses more on general issue of OneDrive, but your issue seems to be more related to Teams.
To help you better, I would suggest you post a new thread on Q&A forum with tags "office-teams-windows-itpro" and "office-teams-app-dev".
    Thanks for your understanding.

Here is a blog that I found online, "Rich, new file and sharing experiences throughout Microsoft 365, now in Microsoft Teams", the following image is taken from it, and it describes new "File experiences"., that Teams benefits from interoperability with SharePoint content services.
We can find the File Handler is list as one on image.

Hope the information could be helpful to you.

Thank you @Emily Hua-MSFT for your response. This article was published in Oct 2019 and File handlers are not yet released for Teams application.

I will still raise a question to "office-teams-windows-itpro" and "office-teams-app-dev" and try to get clarification on this blog post. Thank you.
