Windows 10 Printer Sharing issue

I have a small school lab with 25 computers. All computers have windows 10, and are identical and clones of each other. We do not have a domain or a server.

We have designated one computer for printing (lets call it Print Server), we use printer sharing. Recently some computers have stopped printing.

This is how it goes

  1. All computers can see the Print Server in the network view (in File Manager).
  2. We can double click on the Printer Server, see the printer. We can right click and choose "connect"
  3. A small popup appears saying "connecting". It goes away without any warning or acknowledgement.
  4. After this point, some of the computers can print on the shared printer, other do not.
  5. When we try to print, it does nothing. No error appears

We have been bashing our heads with this problem for 2 weeks now. Exams start in a few days. Nothing seems to work.

Any help? Thanks

    Hi @NZ Khan

You should be able to setup a small network for printing. You may find that not all computers on the network has print and file sharing enabled for the user accounts that are logged in at the time:

I hope this answers your question.

    Thanks.
