I have a small school lab with 25 computers. All computers have windows 10, and are identical and clones of each other. We do not have a domain or a server.
We have designated one computer for printing (lets call it Print Server), we use printer sharing. Recently some computers have stopped printing.
This is how it goes
- All computers can see the Print Server in the network view (in File Manager).
- We can double click on the Printer Server, see the printer. We can right click and choose "connect"
- A small popup appears saying "connecting". It goes away without any warning or acknowledgement.
- After this point, some of the computers can print on the shared printer, other do not.
- When we try to print, it does nothing. No error appears
We have been bashing our heads with this problem for 2 weeks now. Exams start in a few days. Nothing seems to work.
