We use Windows operation system almost every computer of <Link Removed>
But Only 1 pcs is eligible for windows 11. Unfortunately when i use drag and drop it does not work properly.
so tha question is can i back to windows 10 ? or what is the solution?

Its 2023 now...I recently downgraded my Win 11 pro ver to Win 11 Home ver. and I noticed the drag and drop is not working in Home ver. .... is it happening only with me or other home users ?
Yes, it is not working in Windows 11. However, you can do workaround.
1.Drag the file
2.While holding the file use the combination Ctr+Tab to bring up the opened applications
3.Drop into the Alt+Tab application preview windows

I created a new folder on the desktop and named it Dummy folder. With the original folder open I double-click on my Dummy folder and a new window opens. Just remember that MS knows what's best for us (he said sarcatically).

It's not a permanent solution. In the future, will the drag-and-drop feature be enabled in Windows 11 or not? It'll be the same forever. Ctrl+Tab or Alt+Tab increase the process time.

I don't find that workaround to be a useful alternative because I work with alot of different apps open at the same time, and that workaround is too many steps and I certainly don't want to be maximizing all of my apps at once every day. Alot of the time, I need to this while I'm also in a meeting. And I don't understand why Microsoft removed all of that very useful Taskbar functionality that I used EVERY DAY while working. ESPECIALLY being able to drag a file onto a pinned app in the taskbar and having it open. It is such a hassle and driving me nuts.
These comments are from 2022 and now it's almost 2025 -- is Microsoft planning to fix it or not? It would be nice to know.
It sucks that Microsoft removed the most basic feature that made me choose windows on Apple & Linux!

Ridiculous that Microsoft removed drag and drop. It's a basic, yet necessary function, and now it takes more time to do. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

If you recently upgraded to the Windows 11, you have up to 10 days to revert back to Windows 10, otherwise you have to reinstall the Windows 10.
Would you mind elaborate the issue with the Drag and Drop?
Does it happen in all applications?
Currently, dragging a file onto an app in the taskbar to open it in that app is not supported in Windows 11.
And to answer your second question, Yes you can only downgrade to Windows 10 within the 10 days of your upgrade. For example, if you upgraded to Windows 11 on 1 Sept, 2021, then you can downgrade within 10 days.

I have had a similar issue but its not just windows 11. I had just updated to try and fix the issue but it did not. The issue is that drag and drop do not work on desktop or anywhere for that matter. I have tried several methods with no change and dont want to do a fresh install for all the trouble of re loading all software.
Our company used to windows 11.
That's the problem for downgrading.
