SQL Performance
Hi
I host a game on Azure and we only get high traffic for 5 minutes in the evening. Recently my database has taken strain because our player base has significantly increased (over ten fold).
400 DTU isn't sufficing anymore and last night my SQL got throttled for running at 100%. Used to sit around 30% with less traffic.
My question is, should I increase my DTU to say 1200 DTU about 30 minutes before the spike in traffic and then reduce back to 100 DTU after the traffic is gone. So run higher for an hour (billing supports this I think)
Or should I go server less with a high vCore. Will my cost per month still be low though, I don't quite see savings when I tried the Pricing calculator.
Thanks
Quinton
